Business Immigration Associate Solicitor, Conor McCrory attended and presented at the Shenyang/Belfast Sister Cities 2018 Event which took place in Belfast City Hall, last week.

The Shenyang/Belfast Sister Cities 2018 Event, organised by Belfast City Council, was designed to welcome business, government and education leaders from Belfast’s sister city Shenyang, China. The event was designed to build on the sister cities agreement between Belfast and Shenyang along with the Friendly Co-operation agreement since 2014. The overall aim is to strengthen Belfast’s reputation and international profile as a place to visit, study and to do business.

The Deputy Lord Mayor of Belfast Mr Emmet McDonough-Brown was also in attendance. The delegation from China were due to travel to Dublin later last week before departing back home to Shenyang.

Conor presented on business immigration law covering key topics such as the hiring of highly skilled migrants to the UK, sponsor licensing and reporting, as well as the legal requirements for entrepreneurs to follow if wishing to invest within the UK.
