Cleaver Fulton Rankin has become the first law firm in Northern Ireland to complete the British Heart Foundation’s RevivR CPR training.
The training was organised by Cleaver Fulton Rankin’s Responsible Business Group, and delivered using the RevivR online training platform, with the assistance of Adele Harris and Karen McCammon from British Heart Foundation NI.
The RevivR programme enables organisations and individuals to learn CPR in 15 minutes for free, teaching users how to carry out chest compressions and use a defibrillator with confidence.
Cleaver Fulton Rankin’s team completed their training following the installation of a defibrillator in their Central Belfast office, the purchase of which was achieved through internal fundraising by the law firm’s employees. The defibrillator is available for public use and is listed on the British Heart Foundation’s Defib Finder website.
Karen Blair, Chairman and Head of Planning & Environment at Cleaver Fulton Rankin, comments:
“We are delighted to be the first law firm in Northern Ireland to have completed the British Heart Foundation’s RevivR training. As we aim to be a responsible business that supports the health and wellbeing of our team, their families and our local community, we are very pleased to have a team that is CPR-trained and fully equipped to use our defibrillator in emergencies. We are extremely grateful to British Heart Foundation NI for enabling us to carry out this vital CPR training.”
Fearghal McKinney, Head of BHF NI, comments:
“We were pleased to join Cleaver Fulton Rankin to share our online CPR training tool, RevivR to their staff and colleagues.
It’s fantastic to see such a firm offering its employees the opportunity to learn this lifesaving skill.
Everyone can to be a lifesaver and the RevivR free online tool literally puts that power in people’s hands by teaching CPR skills in just 15 minutes. All that’s required is a smartphone or tablet and a cushion. Everyone who learns CPR could help save the life of a colleague, family member, loved one or anyone experiencing a cardiac arrest as we continue to build a community of lifesavers.”
