POSTPONED: Book to attend our Hiring & Firing seminars

In support of Manufacturing Month NI, led by Manufacturing NI, Cleaver Fulton Rankin solicitors are going on the road across Northern Ireland to deliver two lunchtime seminars addressing the significant challenges for manufacturing businesses when it comes to hiring and firing.

It is critical today more than ever that companies focus on maximizing the potential of their largest expense and greatest asset – their people. Strong HR and talent recruitment policies and procedures will improve your odds of staying out of court and avoiding audits or fines. Still more importantly, they will help you recruit the right people and improve your culture and productivity to ensure that your company continues to grow and thrive.

Cleaver Fulton Rankin’s seminar will focus on the hiring process and considerations, including getting a job description right, conducting a fair interview, avoiding discrimination and making and withdrawing offers of employment. As well as the very hot topic of the future of Immigration, visa categories and hiring highly skilled talent from outside of Europe.

We understand that not every hire is the right hire and not every job is guaranteed for life, so we will also cover the legal implications when it comes to firing a member of staff or a workforce. This will include how to break the bad news, have you a fair reason for dismissal, do you need to follow the Statutory Dismissal Procedures and how best to resolve disputes.
